Marcus Morris almost signed with the Los Angeles Clippers this past summer in free agency, but he instead opted to sign a one-year deal with the New York Knicks worth $15 million (after reneging a previous deal with the San Antonio Spurs).
The Clippers, however, acquired Morris at the trade deadline and created one of the deepest rosters in the NBA.
Now, Morris is happy to be with in Los Angeles “$15 million richer.”
A few reporters just met with Marcus Morris. I asked whether the Clippers made an impression on him in free agency last summer, even though he didn’t sign with LAC. pic.twitter.com/XGJA3fsyIW

Morris averaged 19.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists with the Knicks this season while shooting 44.2 percent from the field, 43.9 percent from beyond the arc and 82.3 percent from the free-throw line. He is expected to bring his toughness, veteran leadership and scoring to the Clippers’ dynamic.
After acquiring Morris, the Clips will start Patrick Beverley, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Morris and Ivica Zubac moving forward once everyone is available to play, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
The Clippers are 36-15 on the season and have the second-best record in the Western Conference. Only the Los Angeles Lakers have a better record than the Clips, but LAC is 2-0 against the Purple and Gold this 2019-20 campaign.
Marcus Morris only makes the Clippers more dangerous on offense. LA fans are hoping he makes his debut on Sunday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
