Dublin manager Dessie Farrell bemoaned a "sluggish" start from his team but left Croke Park satisfied with the manner of their comeback against Monaghan.
The reigning All-Ireland champions looked on course for defeat but sparked by a late Kevin McManamon goal and further points in added time, they salvaged a draw from the jaws of defeat in Allianz Football League Division One.
While relieved at getting something out of the game, Farrell expressed his disappointment at the first half display after the final whistle.
"We were slow to get out of the traps in the first half," he told RTÉ Sport.
"Very sluggish, lethargic and a lot of stuff gone wrong for us all over the pitch.
"So we were thankful to the half-time whistle to get in to regroup and try and sort some of it out."
But Farrell added that he did not need to say a huge amount to the players during the break.
"I didn't say an awful lot," he said.
Dublin's late rally earned them a point against a Monaghan side that had dominated the first half and looked to be hanging on deep into added time!

"They are very experienced bunch themselves. We just looked at the intensity level that we were playing at and examined that.
"I think it's fair to say that we upped it in the intensity stakes in the second half and we were able to put some scores together at the end when it mattered most.
"And to be honest at half-time, we weren't too concerned with the result at that stage but the performance was just so poor in the first half and they are better than that."
